Creating greater health and stability can be an overwhelming task to undertake on your own. Nonetheless, improving your relationship with yourself and with others can drastically improve your overall quality of life. The aim of therapy is to help you better navigate life’s inevitable challenges – uncertainties, transitions, and hurts – with greater care, both now and in the future. This is done by taking inventory of your strengths, re-discovering your values, learning from your emotions, and growing self-compassion. It takes courage to be honest with yourself and make efforts to move in the direction of your best self. We are all human, and we all want to be validated in our humanity. I would be honoured to listen to your story and offer you support. I most enjoy working with adult, female clients who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationships, loss, self-worth, parenting, faith (Christianity), and more.
Offering: Individual Therapy (Adults)
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and History from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist.
Discovering who you currently are, and who you want to be, means working through a lot of hurt, fear, and loneliness. Learning to work through these experiences with someone who is non-judgmental can be incredibly comforting. Self-reflection requires bravery, and in the process, you often discover just how strong you truly are. Likewise, we all have needs. Yet sometimes we don’t know what our needs are exactly, let alone how to have them met. It would be a great privilege to join you as you uncover what your needs are, the values you hold within, and the future you want to create. I enjoy working with people to identify and build self-confidence. This includes those who are working through trauma, anxiety, anger, faith-based questions (Christian), and life transitions.
